Izushi Castle Ruins
The ruins of a hill castle built by the Koide clan, the symbol of the castle town of Izushi. Past a row of vermilion torii of the Inari shrine and up steep steps, you look over the grid-plan town and its clock tower "Shinkoro". The rough "nozura-zumi" stone walls remain, and the corner turret, gate and bridge have been rebuilt; the local speciality is Izushi sara soba.
