Nakaoyama Pottery Village (Hasami)
Nakaoyama, the part of Hasami, a town of ceramics, where many kilns gather. There are the remains of one of the world's largest climbing kilns, which made mass production possible in the Edo period, brick chimneys and back lanes; the "Oto-sai" in April and "Shuto-meguri" in late October open the kilns to the public.
