Yamato, Kumamoto / 五老ヶ滝
Gorogataki Falls
One of the largest of Yamato's many waterfalls. You can walk close to the basin to see it drop 50 m, and from the suspension bridge on the path you can see the whole fall, sometimes with a rainbow on fine days. Its name is said to come from a fall "shown" to the imperial envoy Karasumaru Dainagon.
