Oga, Akita / 鵜ノ崎海岸
Unosaki Coast
A 1,500 m stretch of coast from the south of the Oga Peninsula to Daijima, sometimes called "Akita's Uyuni Salt Flat" for scenery reflected in its mirror-like water. At low tide shallows about 200 m wide appear and are busy with people exploring the rock pools. It is one of Japan's "100 Best Beaches", and the view at dusk is especially beautiful.
