Getting there

From JR Tazawako Station (Akita Shinkansen), Ugo Kotsu bus bound for Nyuto Onsen (one bus an hour). By car from Morioka IC: Route 46, Route 341, turn right at Sendatsuzawa crossing, about 13 km up the prefectural road, then left at the sign and 3 km along the Tsurunoyu forest road. A reservation-only shared taxi (Airport Liner) runs from Akita Airport to Nyuto.
