Shirarahama Beach
A beach where fine white sand continues for about 620 m, with emerald-green sea and palm trees along the shore; it is chosen as one of Japan's 100 best swimming beaches. Besides swimming there are events such as the summer fireworks with underwater star-mines, a seaside illumination from Halloween into winter, and beach yoga, and many day-trip hot springs nearby.
