Imizu, Toyama / 新湊大橋
Shinminato Ohashi Bridge
A cable-stayed bridge over Toyama Shinko port, 3.6 km long including approaches, with 127 m towers and a 600 m main span over the sea, one of the largest on the Sea of Japan coast. On clear days you can see the Sea of Japan, the Tateyama mountains and the Noto Peninsula. It has two levels, the road above and the pedestrian walkway "Ainokaze Promenade" below, an all-weather route with wind and earthquake measures. It is lit up at night.
