Imabari, Ehime / 桜井総合公園
Sakurai Sogo Park
A seaside park on high ground in the Yunoura hot-spring area, looking over the Seto Inland Sea. The large grounds have free play equipment such as an artificial-turf sledging slope and net trampolines, as well as a bobsleigh ride; the observatory at about 80 m looks over Sakurai Beach, about 8 km long and one of Japan's 100 best beaches. Cherry blossoms bloom in spring, and about 25,000 azaleas from early April to late May.
