Ogawa Sakugoya-mura
A tourist facility in Nishimera, a village where Japan's beautiful old countryside remains. Thatched "sakugoya" huts house a restaurant and shop; the most popular dish is the "Ogawa Shiki Gozen", 16 small dishes of local food made with rice, shiitake, venison, persimmons, chestnuts and mountain vegetables. The grounds also have the Nishimera Kagura hall, introducing the "Mera no Kagura" (National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property), and lodgings. Cherry blossoms and magnolias cover Ogawa Hanamiyama opposite in spring, with autumn leaves in autumn, and "Tsuki no Kagura" is held around late September.
