Natadera Temple
A temple awarded one star in the Michelin Green Guide Japon. The grounds include the national scenic site "Kigan Yusenkyo", a landscape of strange rocks like an ink painting, and important cultural properties such as the main hall, three-storey pagoda, goma hall, bell tower, study hall and the kuri garden. Founded by Taicho in 717, it is a temple of Hakusan worship; it fell into ruin in the late medieval Ikko-ikki uprisings and was restored in the Edo period by Maeda Toshitsune, third lord of Kaga.

Kaga Shuyu Bus CANBUS (mountain loop) from Kaga-Onsen Station to Natadera; 15 minutes by taxi from Kaga-Onsen or Awazu Station; Hokutetsu Kaga Bus Awazu line (bound for Natadera) from Komatsu Station to the Natadera stop, then about 20 minutes on foot; about 30 minutes by car from Komatsu IC or Kaga IC (Hokuriku Expressway).
