Chichibu, Saitama / 中津峡
Nakatsu Gorge
A gorge about 10 km long between the former Shiozawa and Nakatsugawa districts, carved by a clear stream winding between the mountains, and a prefectural scenic spot. Red and yellow trees peek out among the cliffs and strange rocks up to 100 m high; with azaleas in spring, green in summer and autumn leaves, it is praised as the finest scenery in Oku-Chichibu.
