Nagatoro Gorge (Iwadatami) and Boat Ride
The Arakawa river boat ride in Chichibu-Nagatoro passes through the Nagatoro "iwadatami" rock terraces, a national Special Natural Monument, sometimes gently and sometimes thrillingly, and is enjoyed by small children and older people alike. With the boatman's guide, you see cherry blossoms in spring, cool breezes in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and ride kotatsu boats in winter.
