Nagano Prefectural Art Museum
A prefectural art museum in Joyama Park next to Zenko-ji, built on the concept of a "landscape museum" in harmony with the temple town and Shinshu's nature. Its free zones make it an "open museum" like a park, and the attached Higashiyama Kaii Gallery holds over 970 works by the Japanese-style painter Higashiyama Kaii.
