Kuwana, Mie / なばなの里

Nabana no Sato

A large flower and garden theme park, one of the best known in the Tokai region, where you can see flowers and trees in every season. Seasonal events feature plum, Kawazu cherry, weeping plum, narcissus, tulips, nemophila, roses, hydrangeas and irises, and from winter to spring a large illumination is held, with flowers lit up at night in some periods. The big greenhouse "Andes Flower Garden / Begonia Garden" has flowers in bloom all year. There is also the day-use hot spring "Sato no Yu", seven restaurants, and the "Nagashima Beer Garden" with its own brewery.

Getting there: There is also a direct bus from the Nagoya Station bus center. Outside the illumination period (October-May): about 10 minutes by Mie Kotsu bus from Kuwana Station (JR Kansai Line / Kintetsu Nagoya Line). During the illumination period (October-May): about 10 minutes by Mie Kotsu direct bus from Kintetsu Nagashima Station (the Kuwana bus does not run then). By car, about 10 minutes from Nagashima IC (Higashi-Meihan Expressway) or Wangan-Nagashima IC (Isewangan Expressway).
