Hozenji Yokocho Alley
An atmospheric alley in the middle of Minami, Osaka's liveliest entertainment district. At the end of the stone-paved lane stands Mizukake Fudo, always covered in green moss because so many visitors ladle water over it. After a fire in 2002, 300,000 signatures were gathered and a special exception kept the 2.7 m-wide alley as it was; along about 100 m are renowned kappo restaurants and small places serving yakitori, oden, sushi and drinks.
