Hakuto Coast
The coast said to be the setting of the myth "The White Hare of Inaba": a hare that tricked sharks to cross from Okinoshima was skinned by them, and Okuninushi told it to wash in fresh water and wrap itself in cattail ears, and it was healed. Rocks resembling the backs of sharks lie off this beautiful bow-shaped white sand beach. Along the national road stands a monument to the children's song "Daikoku-sama" by Tottori-born composer Tamura Torazo.
