Engaku-ji Temple
An old Rinzai Zen temple founded by Hojo Tokimune, with many old buildings such as the National Treasure bell and relic hall. From the main gate the precinct climbs gradually past the Sanmon gate, Buddha hall and abbot's quarters; writers such as Natsume Soseki visited to write. The National Treasure "Ogane" bell stands at the top of long stairs, where Mt. Fuji can be seen on some days.
