Chofu Castle Town
A castle town with a romantic historical feel, with the earthen walls and stone walls of "Furue-shoji" lane from the Edo period and the Chofu domain samurai row houses showing the life of senior retainers. Kozanji Temple, with its National Treasure Buddha hall and gate, and the Chofu Mori residence are known for autumn leaves, and cafes dot the area.
