Bessho Onsen
A hot-spring town for leisurely strolling, with maintained walking paths, wooden benches and mini parks. You can rest at cafes, a free foot bath and three public baths that cost 300 yen, and see temples and shrines along with hidden spots such as the 350-year-old "Mifune-no-Matsu" pine at Jorakuji and the 1,200-year-old Aizen katsura tree at Kitamuki Kannon, a prefectural natural monument.
