Akita Dog Station
A place to meet Akita dogs in "Area Nakaichi", a short walk from Akita Station; the dogs are shown on Saturdays and Sundays. To avoid stressing the dogs you may not touch them, but photos are allowed. The station also serves as a training place for Akita dogs rescued after being abandoned, and part of the sales of its goods goes to protecting Akita dogs.
