Uwasekigata Park
A park of rich nature around an 11 ha lagoon at the foot of Mt. Kakuda. Spring brings about 450 cherry trees and a carpet of rape blossom, with sunflowers in summer and cosmos in autumn against the view of Mt. Kakuda. A path of about 2 km and boardwalks circle the lagoon, where dragonflies, waterbirds and swans can be seen, and there are large play structures, a lawn and barbecue facilities. In autumn it hosts the "Wara Art Festival" with giant straw sculptures made by Musashino Art University students and local people.
