Uesugi Museum, Yonezawa
A museum beside Matsugasaki Park on the site of Yonezawa Castle's main enclosure, displaying treasures of the Uesugi family; the National Treasure Rakuchu-rakugai screens, said to be a gift from Oda Nobunaga to Uesugi Kenshin, are shown in the original only in spring and autumn.

No steps inside. Four wheelchairs and four pushchairs lent free. Multipurpose toilet, two accessible parking spaces, and the 2nd-floor interpreters' room can be used for nursing. Assistance dogs welcome.
