Seiyo, Ehime / 須崎海岸
Susaki Coast
A small cape about 90 m high surrounded by cliffs, west of Mikame along the coast, where striped strata about 400 million years old spread on a large scale. Surrounded by sea on three sides, it looks over the Uwa Sea islands and the Sadamisaki Peninsula, and on clear days as far as Kyushu. Seen whole, the peninsula looks like a Kannon lying on its back, so it is called "Ne-Kannon".
