Southeast Botanical Gardens
Opened in 1968, one of Japan's largest outdoor botanical gardens, with more than 50,000 plants of about 1,300 tropical and subtropical species. Besides plants you can meet about 50 kinds of animals - interacting with capybaras and squirrel monkeys, bird shows - and from late October to late May the "Okinawa Nangoku Illumination" is held.
