Kumakogen, Ehime / 四国カルスト
Shikoku Karst
Karst is terrain where limestone has come to the surface through erosion by rain. Here karst plateaus at 1,000-1,485 m continue for about 25 km, including Mehikarinaru and Onogahara, making a superb scenic drive. The road is closed in snowy winter, but from spring to autumn you can enjoy driving, touring and camping, with pastures where cattle graze and starry skies.
