Koedo Sawara Boat Tour
A boat tour to gently view Sawara's townscape, an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings where the Edo atmosphere remains. The "koedo" scenery seen from the Ono River differs from what you see on foot; the ride takes about 30 minutes and the boatman's guide is one of the highlights. The landing, a "dashi" loading dock, is in front of the former residence of Ino Tadataka, next to the Toyohashi bridge, whose water falls every 30 minutes. In winter the boats have kotatsu.
