Reigando Cave
The cave where Miyamoto Musashi, who came to Higo in 1640 (Kan'ei 17) at the invitation of Hosokawa Tadatoshi, wrote "The Book of Five Rings", the culmination of his life's swordsmanship. It is on the hill behind Unganzen-ji temple; inside is the Iwato Kannon, and the temple keeps the wooden sword Musashi used in his duel with Sasaki Kojiro.
