Oshino, Yamanashi / 忍野八海

Oshino Hakkai Springs

Eight spring-fed ponds formed by rain and snow on Mt. Fuji that seeps through the ground for over 20 years; a component of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage site, designated a Natural Monument in Showa 9 and one of Japan's 100 best waters in Showa 60; it was also a sacred site for Fuji-ko pilgrims.
