Asumiko Pond (Lotus Pond)
A pond surrounded by nostalgic satoyama countryside, loved by Fujiyoshida residents and nicknamed "Hasu-ike" (Lotus Pond) for the lotus growing on its surface. It is said to have been one of the "Eight Lakes of Fuji", a place of ritual purification on the pilgrims' road to Mt. Fuji; it is a popular viewpoint for photographers.
