Osaka Castle Nishinomaru Garden
A lawn garden of about 6.5 ha opened in 1965 (Showa 40) on the site said to be the residence of Kita-no-Mandokoro, wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, with fine views of the castle tower and the moat stone walls. About 300 cherry trees, mainly Somei-yoshino, bloom in spring, and evening cherry viewing is held during the blossom season.
