Sakaiminato, Tottori / 水木しげるロード
Mizuki Shigeru Road
An approx. 800 m street from Sakaiminato Station to the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum in the hometown of Mizuki Shigeru, creator of "GeGeGe no Kitaro". 178 bronze statues of yokai and characters (as of April 2024) line the road, with a yokai shrine and more. With the "Yokai Guidebook" you can collect 35 yokai stamps (about 1.5-2 hours) and get a present at the tourist information centre. The memorial museum reopened after renewal in 2024.
