Sakai, Fukui / 三国サンセットビーチ
Mikuni Sunset Beach
A shallow beach spreading north-west of Mikuni Port, popular with families with children; in season it becomes a marine resort for yachting, surfing and windsurfing, and it is also known as a spot to watch the sun set over the Sea of Japan. Every year on August 11 it is the main venue of the "Mikuni Fireworks Festival", the largest in Hokuriku.
