Gurutto Matsue Horikawa Sightseeing Boat
Boats that slowly tour the moats dug around Matsue Castle when it was built, in about 50 minutes. A full loop passes under 17 bridges; at four of them the roof is lowered to fit the bridge height. In winter the kotatsu boats, with a foot warmer heated by charcoal briquettes, are a seasonal feature, and in summer there are "wind-chime boats".
