Matsue History Museum
A museum built in the style of a samurai residence just east of Matsue Castle, introducing the history and culture of Matsue and how the castle town worked through materials, videos and models. It also has a Japanese garden that borrows the castle keep as its backdrop, a tea room said to be Rikyu's and a chief retainer's house, and the cafe "Kiharu" serves Japanese sweets and tea.
