Hidaka, Saitama / 巾着田曼珠沙華公園
Kinchakuda Manjushage Park
Kinchakuda was formed by a meander of the Koma River in Hidaka, and is named for its shape like a drawstring purse (kinchaku). On this flat land about 500 m across and 22 ha, surrounded by the river, flowers such as rape blossoms and cosmos bloom by season; above all, in autumn the red spider lily (manjushage) colony turns the whole area crimson like a red carpet.
