A group of 33 lakes and ponds in the beech forests on the western edge of the Shirakami Mountains, famous for the cobalt-blue Aoike pond; open to walkers from April to November.

About 15 min by bus from JR Juniko Station to Oku-Juniko Chushajo. By car, about 2 h 45 min from Owani-Hirosaki IC.

Paid car park for 100 vehicles: motorbikes 200 yen, cars 500 yen, large vehicles 1,500 yen (cash only).
