Janjan Yokocho Alley
The nickname of the Nanyo-dori shopping arcade, running about 180 m from Dobutsuen-mae Station to Tsutenkaku in Shinsekai; it is said to come from the jangling of shamisen and drums once used to call in customers. Kushikatsu restaurants ("no double-dipping in the sauce"), yakiniku, diners, sushi, udon and standing bars line the arcade.
