Ikeda, Fukui / かずら橋（池田町）
Kazurabashi Vine Bridge (Ikeda)
A rare vine suspension bridge, 44 m long, 1.8 m wide and 12 m high, over the Asuwa River gorge, thrilling with its swaying. At the waterwheel plaza by the bridge, Somei-yoshino cherries bloom around mid-April, "Gyoiko" cherries in early May and rhododendrons in mid-May, and the gorge is coloured by autumn leaves from late October to early November.
