Kozagawa, Wakayama / 一枚岩
Ichimai-iwa Monolith
A single huge rock 100 m high and 500 m wide rising from the clear Koza River, a national natural monument and part of the "Kozagawa arc-shaped dike", the only one of Japan's 100 geological sites chosen in Wakayama. At the roadside station "Ichimaiiwa monolith" opposite you can eat game dishes and wild ayu from the Koza River while looking at the rock.
