Mt. Gassan Midagahara Marsh
A marsh at 1,400 m on the eighth station of Mt. Gassan with more than 130 kinds of alpine flowers, including Nikko day-lilies and skunk cabbage; a boardwalk loop takes about 60 minutes, and a bus runs up from Tsuruoka.
