Koshu, Yamanashi / 乾徳山 恵林寺
Kentokuzan Erinji Temple
The family temple of Takeda Shingen, where his grave is found. It holds many Takeda-related cultural properties, such as Shingen's helmet and war fan and the "Sonshi flag" famous for "Furinkazan"; the four-legged gate and two swords are Important Cultural Properties, and there are many prefectural cultural properties. Cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves are worth seeing, and at the Erinji Garden behind the main hall, laid out by Muso Kokushi and a national Place of Scenic Beauty, you can relax over matcha.
