Akame 48 Waterfalls
A series of waterfalls on the upper Takigawa River at the border of Iga and Yamato, about 4 km long, in the centre of Muro-Akame-Aoyama Quasi-National Park. It is chosen among the Heisei 100 best waters, Japan's 100 best waterfalls, 100 best forest-bathing forests and 100 best walks. From autumn to winter the valley is lit up with bamboo lanterns, and there are relaxed, valley-hiking and trekking courses.
