Agatsuma Gorge Rail Bike "A-Gattan!"
"A-Gattan" is a way to take in Agatsuma Gorge, a valley of about 2.5 km along the Agatsuma River spanning Higashiagatsuma and Naganohara. It is a pedal-powered trolley on part of the old JR Agatsuma Line, rerouted for the Yamba Dam, following the "lost line" above a nationally designated scenic gorge. The one-way gorge course of about 2.4 km from Agatsuma Gorge to Yamba Dam passes farmland and the "Tarusawa Tunnel", once said to be Japan's shortest railway tunnel.
