Nezu Shrine
Nezu Shrine, whose buildings are Important Cultural Properties, has rich greenery, a pond with carp and rows of red torii gates. It is said to have been founded about 1,900 years ago by Yamato Takeru, and moved to its present site in 1706 on the orders of Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. Its architecture follows the style of Nikko Toshogu, where Tokugawa Ieyasu rests. You can walk through the torii leading to Otome Inari Shrine in the grounds, and in spring more than 100 kinds of azaleas bloom.
