Opening hours

Large scheduled boats normally leave every hour from 9:00 to 16:00 (to 15:00 in winter). Each trip takes about 50 minutes. Extra sailings in busy periods.

Open every day of the year. Sailings are cancelled when safety cannot be ensured, for example in typhoons.

Admission

Adults (junior high and above) 1,500 yen; elementary school children 750 yen. Upper deck (green seats): +600 yen adults, +300 yen children, paid on board. The operator says fares may change without notice. Under elementary school age: free (a fare may be charged if there are more small children than guardians). Disability discount: 50% (holder plus two companions) or 10% (holder only), depending on the certificate category; show it at the counter. Not valid for the upper deck or with other discounts.

About 6 min on foot from Matsushima-Kaigan Station (JR Senseki Line, about 40 min from Sendai); about 20 min on foot from JR Matsushima Station.

Accessibility

The upper deck is reached by stairs. There are priority seats for wheelchair users on the lower deck. You can board in a wheelchair or with a stroller. Guide dogs and service dogs can board as they are.
