Kaminoyama Onsen
A hot-spring town with two districts of quite different character: Shinyu and Yumachi, which keep traces of the castle town of the Kaminoyama domain and a post town on the Ushu Kaido, and Hayama, Kawasaki and Takamatsu on high ground looking over the Zao mountains. The water is colourless and clear; you can visit day-bathing inns, public baths and foot baths, and there are Kurort health walking courses with daily guided programmes.
