Kamaishi Daikannon
Standing at the tip of Kamazaki as if watching over Kamaishi Bay, the Kamaishi Daikannon is 48.5 m tall and divided into 13 floors inside. Floors 1-3 hold a worship hall and a room of the Thirty-three Kannon, floors 4-10 are a walk through the Seven Lucky Gods, and floors 12-13 are the "Gyoran" observation deck on the fish held by the Kannon. From this deck, 120 m above sea level, you can enjoy a panorama of the Pacific.

Take National Route 45 from central Kamaishi towards Ofunato. After the Ureishi Tunnel, when you see a pedestrian bridge, take the road down to the left (signposted on the left); or, after the pedestrian bridge, turn right at the first signal, pass Kamaishi Shoko High School and turn right.
