Opening hours

Day bathing: Shirogane-yu public bath 9:00-15:00; also Takimikan 11:00-14:30 and Kosekiya Bekkan 11:30-13:00. No reservations and no evening bathing for day visitors.

Getting there

40 min by bus from Oishida Station (Yamagata Shinkansen) to the Ginzan Onsen terminus. About 30 min by car from Obanazawa IC. Do not use Prefectural Road 29 from Murayama (Seaburi Pass), a very narrow mountain road. Route 347 from Furukawa is closed in winter.

Parking

Cars, coaches and motorbikes may not enter the town. Day visitors park at Taisho Roman-kan (100 spaces, free for cars and motorbikes, 8:30-17:30; later use possible if you tell the staff, at your own risk) and take the paid shuttle (500 yen all day; from 9:00, last departure from Taisho Roman-kan 17:00, last from Ginzan 18:00; no timetable - press the button at the stop). Hotel guests use their inn's car park.
